Our 3-day private Amritsar Golden Temple and Wagah Border tour will surely be as insightful as it is entertaining. Read the detailed itinerary below.

  • Day 1 (16-06-2025)

Day 1: Amritsar Arrival and Wagah Border Tour

As your tour begins, you will find our representative waiting for you at the Amritsar airport/railway station/hotel, preferably between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM. You will be chauffeured to your pre-booked hotel where you will check in and relax. At around 3:00 PM, you will be picked up from the hotel for your Wagah Border tour.

Upon arrival, you will witness the famous Indo-Pak Beating Retreat Ceremony. Here, you will see the soldiers of both countries parading and shaking hands. The ceremony also includes a flag-lowering ritual. You can view this from a special vantage point of the Foreigner’s Gallery (only allowed for foreigners). After that, we will drop you off at your hotel for your overnight stay.

  • Day 2 (17-06-2025)

Day 2: Golden Temple Tour and More

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, the much-awaited Golden Temple tour will begin. Our driver will pick you up at around 9:00 AM and take you to the Golden Temple. This holy pilgrimage site of the Sikhs is not just a spiritual landmark but also a sight for sore eyes. After exploring the temple premises, you can take a dip in the holy Amrit Sarovar.

Next, you will visit the Jallianwala Bagh—a very important site in Indian history as this is where the Massacre of 1919 took place. General Dyre ordered a mass shooting after blocking the only exit and hundreds of people were killed. After visiting the memorial, enjoy retail therapy at the Hall Bazaar. You can also explore the local markets nearby and shop for handicrafts, garments, and more. Post this, you will be taken back to the hotel.

At around 9:00 PM, we will again take you to the Golden Temple for the evening Palki Ceremony. Here, the devotees will be seen singing the Gurbani Kirtan, religious songs, while Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs, is carried to a different room for the night. After the ceremony, Karah Prasad (a religious offering) will be distributed to the devotees to be eaten. Then, we will drop you at the hotel for a peaceful night’s sleep.
