Air Asia Airlines Baggage Policy varies depending on whether you are flying domestically or internationally:

Cabin Baggage

• All guests (except infants) are allowed to carry on board two (2) pieces of cabin baggage comprising of either: 1 cabin baggage or 1 laptop bag or 1 handbag or 1 small bag. (Shouldn`t exceed the dimensions of 56cm (H) X 36cm (W) X 23cm (D). The total weight of both pieces must not exceed 7kg.

Checked Baggage

• The checked baggage allowances for you to pre-book. Checked baggage fees apply, 15kg (Available on domestic flights only) 15kg - up to 40 kg (On international flights) it solely depends country to country regulations.
• Checked baggage charges are lowest through initial flight booking. You can pre-book later via your Air Asia member account or during web check-in at the normal rate. The fees at the airport are the highest, so pre-book your checked baggage allowance in advance.

Prohibited in Checked and Cabin baggage:

• Any Pointed/edged Weapons & Sharp Objects Axes & hatchets, arrows and darts, crampons (grappling iron, a hooked bar of iron, or plate with iron.
• Electronics devices such as cameras, cellular phones, laptops, and camcorders contain lithium or lithium-ion cells.
• Checked Baggage: Portable electronic devices containing lithium metal or lithium ion cells or batteries are allowed in checked baggage EXCEPT for e-cigarettes and self-balancing battery-powered small vehicles.
• Component parts of firearms

Air Asia Airlines Cancellation Policy

After your ticket has been confirmed and you are flying with Air Asia and an unwanted happening took place and you need to cancel your flight or to bad weather/technical issues Air Asia cancels or reschedules the flight, need not worry they are here to help you.

• If your flight is canceled or rescheduled, from the end of Air Asia you will receive a total refund of the amount paid and a Hotel Package with it.
• If You`re traveling domestically within India, you can cancel your ticket at least 2 hours before departure and receive a refund after being charged a cancellation fee of:
  1. INR 3,500 if you cancel 0 - 3 days before departure
  2. INR 3,000 if you cancel at least 4 days before departure.
• If canceling an international flight, the claim of a refund (partial or full) is totally reliable if the local laws of the state you`re flying to-from-within allow refunds within a stipulated time period.
