Day 1: Amritsar—Dharamshala
On day 1 of the 3-day tour, we will pick you up from your hotel/airport/railway station in Amritsar and take you to Dharamshala. A distance of about 220 km between the two places will be covered in about 5 hours. Upon arrival at the hill station, we will drop you at your hotel. Check-in and enjoy the evening at your leisure. The overnight stay is arranged at the same hotel.
Day 2: Dharamshala Excursions
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, our driver will pick you up for your much-awaited Dharamshala tour. You will explore various major attractions, starting with the 700-year-old Chamunda Devi Temple. Then, we will take you to the Chinmaya Tapovan. Founded by Swami Chinmayananda, it is most famous for a 9m high idol of Lord Hanuman. Next on the list is the Norbulingka Institute—a center dedicated to preserving the Tibetan culture.
After this, we will take you on a scenic adventure to Dal Lake. Surrounded by the Deodar trees, the clear green water of the lake will mesmerize you. Then, we will head to a major tourist spot—the Dalai Lama Temple. Here, you can be a part of the reverberating prayers and view the beautifully crafted statues of Lord Buddha, Avalokiteshvara, and Padmasambhava. After exploring all these fascinating places and enjoying some retail therapy at the vibrant markets of McLeodganj, we will drop you at your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Day 3: Dharamshala—Amritsar
Once you have had a hearty meal for breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and join us on your journey back to Amritsar. After successfully dropping you at the Amritsar airport/railway station/hotel, your Amritsar to Dharamshala tour package will come to an end, and you can continue your onward journey.
