3-Day Gujarat Tour with Ahmedabad Sightseeing & Statue of Unity Visit

Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad + Gandhinagar Sightseeing

As you arrive in Ahmedabad, our driver will pick you up from your location and take you to your hotel. After checking into the hotel, we will go on an interesting tour, beginning with the renowned Sabarmati Ashram. The ashram is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati and is a significant place in India’s history. It’s where Mahatma Gandhi spent most of his years during India’s freedom struggle. Explore the various chambers related to Gandhi’s life, like the Hriday Kunj, Gandhi Sangrahalaya, etc.

Next, we will be covering some of the most prominent places to visit in Gandhinagar, starting with the Adalaj Stepwell. It is located at a distance of approximately 30 minutes from the Sabarmati Ashram. The 7-storey deep structure is an architectural marvel, as moving deeper into the well leads to a drop in the temperature. Famous as one of the finest monuments of Gujarat, the stepwell also features intricate carvings on its walls.

Finally, we will visit the grand Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, located at a 20-minute drive from the Adalaj Stepwell. The 23-acre complex features mesmerizing architecture. Its key attractions are the five exhibition halls that display audio-visual presentations of various aspects of the Hindu culture, heritage, and values. After exploring all these places, we will drive you back to your hotel in Ahmedabad for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Ahmedabad to Kevadia Round Trip with Sightseeing at Kevadia

On day 2, start your morning with a lip-smacking breakfast at the hotel. Then, join our driver as he takes you to Kevadia on a 3-hour-long road trip. Upon reaching there, we will take you to the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which is built on the Narmada River. It is the 2nd largest concrete dam in the world and is a popular tourist destination. After a 13-minute drive from the dam, you will reach your next destination—the Statue of Unity. The 182-meter monument is the tallest statue in the world. After witnessing the grandiose of the colossal structure on your Statue of Unity visit, you will return to your hotel with our driver, and enjoy a restful night’s sleep.

Day 3: Ahmedabad Sightseeing and Departure

On the last day of the tour, you will relish a tasty breakfast and then check out of the hotel. If time permits, we will take you on an Ahmedabad sightseeing trip, including famous landmarks like the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, which is adorned with stunning latticework, especially in its popular component, the Tree of Life. You will also be visiting the Hutheesing Jain Temple—an ornate temple dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankar, and Sarkhej Roza—a magnificent Sufi complex comprising a mouse, tombs, and palaces. Finally, witness the charm of the Dada Harir Stepwell—a go-to tourist spot known for its beautifully carved stone columns and 5-story stepwell. With this, the tour will reach its end, and our driver will drop you at your hotel/airport in Ahmedabad for your onward journey.

Note: The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple remains closed on Monday, so plan your trip accordingly.
