3-Day Jyotirlinga Temples Tour in Madhya Pradesh Covering Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar & More

Day 1: Indore to Ujjain Journey + Temples Tour

Upon arrival at Indore airport or railway station, our representative will welcome you and assist with your transfer to your pre-booked hotel in Ujjain. The drive from Indore to Ujjain will take about 2 hours. After check-in and freshening up, you will embark on a spiritual journey covering the popular Jyotirlinga Temples in Madhya Pradesh. First, we will take you to the Mahakaleshwar Temple—an iconic Jyotirlinga temple located at a distance of about 3 km from the city centre. Here, you will witness the famous Bhasma Aarti, a ritual that draws devotees from across the nation.

Next, you will head nearly 4 km from the Mahakaleshwar Temple to the revered Shakti Peeth, the Harsiddhi Temple, which is popular for its spectacular evening aarti with diyas lit atop towering pillars. Another site that you will visit is the Mahakal Lok Corridor. Located 2 km from Harsiddhi Temple, this 900-meter-long corridor is adorned with 108 pillars, 200 statues, and intricate frescoes of Lord Shiva.

Then, we will drive for another 1.5 km to soak in the spiritual ambience of the Shipra River Ghat and Ram Ghat, where pilgrims bathe in the holy Shipra River. At a distance of 6 km from Ram Ghat is the tranquil Sandipani Ashram linked to Lord Krishna’s childhood. After exploring the ashram, we will take you to the Bada Ganesh Temple, which is located about 5km away. The prominent Ganesha temple is known for its towering idol and spiritual energy.

Finally, as the day comes to an end, we will drop you back at your hotel for an overnight stay in Ujjain, reflecting on a day immersed in devotion, culture, and history.

Day 2: Omkareshwar Temple Tour & Journey to Indore

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and begin your journey towards Omkareshwar, one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations in Madhya Pradesh. The drive from Ujjain to Omkareshwar is about 3.5 hours long and takes you through scenic rural landscapes, small towns, and the serene banks of the Narmada River.

Upon arrival, we will begin the Shri Omkareshwar Temple tour with a visit to the sacred Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, situated on an island shaped like the holy symbol ‘Om’. The temple is about 15 minutes from the main parking area and offers a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Just a 10-minute walk across a bridge from Shri Omkareshwar is the Mamleshwar Temple, which is equally revered and considered a twin shrine to Omkareshwar.

After visiting the temples, you will spend some peaceful time at the ghats of the Narmada River. You can also enjoy a 30–40 minute boat ride here for a divine experience of the river and temples from the water.

As the darshan and sightseeing come to an end, we will proceed to Indore—the Cleanest City of India, located about 80 km from Omkareshwar (approximately 2 hours’ drive). Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel and call it a night.

Day 3: Indore Sightseeing & Departure

On the last day of the tour, wake up to a delicious breakfast and check out to explore the vibrant charm of Indore. Known as the cultural and commercial capital of the state, Indore offers a mix of history, spirituality, and architectural beauty. First on your Indore sightseeing tour, we will take you to the Rajwada Palace. Located in the heart of the city, this grand palace showcases Indo-Saracenic architecture and reflects the royal legacy of the Holkar dynasty. After that, we will drive about 20 minutes to reach this stunning Lal Baag Palace. Once a residence of the Holkar rulers, the palace is an eye-catching attraction with sprawling gardens and exquisite interiors.

After driving for another 15 minutes, we will reach Kanch Mandir. This Jain temple is a marvel of glasswork and mirrors, offering a unique spiritual and artistic experience. Finally, we will end your city exploration with a visit to the revered Khajrana Ganesh Temple. Just a 30-minute drive from Kanch Mandir, it is where devotees come to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.

Later, you’ll be dropped at Indore airport or railway station (30–40 minutes from the city centre) for your onward journey, carrying with you the spiritual essence and cultural richness of your Madhya Pradesh pilgrimage tour.
