We will start with the imposing Gwalior Fort, perched on a sandstone hill just 3 km from the city Centre. This grand fort, dating back to the 8th century, houses magnificent palaces, gateways, and temples that reflect the city’s royal past. Then, we will continue onwards to the Teli Ka Mandir, located inside the fort complex, celebrated for its towering spire and rare mix of Hindu and Buddhist architectural influences. After a short 10-minute drive, we will take you to the intricately designed Saas Bahu Ka Mandir, a pair of temples known for their fine carvings and artistic elegance.
If time permits, you can also explore the opulent Jai Vilas Palace, situated about 5 km from the fort, where the Scindia family’s royal residence and museum showcase chandeliers, palatial halls, and rare artefacts. After a full day of sightseeing, we will drop you at your hotel, where you will retire for the night.
Day 2: Gwalior to Khajuraho + En Route Orchha Visit

Upon arrival, we will take you to the magnificent Orchha Fort Complex, home to several palaces and temples that reflect the grandeur of the Bundela dynasty. First stop in the fort is the Raj Mahal, renowned for its intricate frescoes and sweeping views of the Betwa River. Next is the elegant Jahangir Mahal, built for Emperor Jahangir, with its charming courtyard and architectural finesse.
Then, we will continue to the sacred Raja Ram Temple. This prominent Hindu pilgrimage site is located at a distance of just 1 km from the Jahangir Mahal. The trip will be followed by a visit to the cenotaphs (Chhatris) of Bundela kings, beautifully situated along the riverbank and especially mesmerizing during sunset. If interested, you can opt for a boat ride on the Betwa River at an additional cost.
After the Orchha tour, we will continue our drive to Khajuraho, covering approximately 65 km. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay.
