Day 1: Arrival at Jabalpur + Journey to Kanha
Upon arrival at Jabalpur airport or railway station, you’ll be welcomed by our representative. After a warm greeting, enjoy a comfortable Jabalpur to Kanha private transfer through scenic forested roads and countryside.
After travelling for around 4-5 hours, you will reach your destination—Kanha National Park. Nestled in the Maikal range of the Satpura hills, it is famous for its tiger population, open meadows, and dense Sal forests. It also inspired Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.
Check in at your resort or jungle lodge and spend a comfortable overnight stay, soaking in the forest ambience.
Day 2: Kanha National Park Tour (Morning or Evening Safari)
As you wake up to the sounds of the forest, prepare for an optional Kanha Jungle Safari. The park is a biodiversity hotspot, home to tigers, leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, and the rare bara Singha (swamp deer).
If you prefer a morning safari, you can start early and witness the forest waking up with birdsong and wildlife activity. After a thrilling safari, you will return to your lodge and enjoy a flavorsome breakfast. If you would like to go on an evening safari instead, you will get to experience Kanha during golden hours, with chances to spot elusive animals.
Whenever you are not on your safari tour, you can enjoy nature walks or leisure at the lodge. Overnight stay will be at the same place.
Day 3: Kanha to Bandhavgarh Journey
After breakfast, we will drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, located in the Vindhya ranges of Madhya Pradesh. The park has one of the highest densities of tigers in India and was historically the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Rewa. Bandhavgarh’s landscape features steep ridges, dense forests, and open grasslands. It is also home to leopards, sloth bears, sambhar deer, and the famous white tiger.
In about 6-7 hours, you will complete the 280km journey and arrive at your stay in Bandhavgarh. After a warm welcome, check in at your lodge and rest well to prepare yourself for the Bandhavgarh National Park tour starting the next morning.
Day 4: Bandhavgarh National Park Tour (Morning or Evening Safari)
On this day, you can choose to go on a morning safari or rest and take an evening safari instead. Bandhavgarh is a popular destination where you can explore the park’s rich wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and wild dogs. If you opt for a morning Bandhavgarh Jeep Safari, you will watch the forest come alive with animal activity and bird calls. After that, we will drop you back at your stay for a hearty breakfast and leisurely time.
If you opt for the evening safari, you will experience the tranquility of the forest as the sun sets over Bandhavgarh’s hills. Later, you will return to your lodge for a peaceful overnight stay. When not on your safari tour, you can explore the nearby sites, like the neighboring tribal villages or the ruins of the Bandhavgarh Fort, on your own.
Day 5: Bandhavgarh to Panna Journey
After having a filling breakfast, you will check out of the resort and leave for your upcoming Panna Tiger Reserve visit. Located along the scenic Ken River, the reserve is known for its plateaus, gorges, and dry deciduous forests. Panna is home to tigers, leopards, gharials, and diverse bird species, along with natural attractions like Pandav Falls.
After approximately 6 hours, you will arrive at your pre-booked stay in Panna. Check in at your resort, enjoy an evening surrounded by nature, and then retire for the night.
Day 6: Panna National Park Tour (Morning or Evening Safari)
On day 6, you will wake up to the sounds of birds and then get ready for an early morning Jeep Safari at Panna National Park. The park’s riverine habitats, rocky plateaus, and gorges make it ideal for wildlife spotting and photography. On your exotic jeep safari, you will spot animals along the Ken River as the forest comes alive. Later, we will take you back to your resort for a palatable meal for breakfast.
However, if you wish to go on an evening jeep safari instead, that option is also available to you. On your evening safari, you can enjoy a tranquil experience as wildlife prepares for nightfall. As the safari comes to an end, our driver will drop you at your resort for a restful night’s sleep.
If you want to spend the day at leisure, some non-safari options that you can try on your own include visiting waterfalls or going trekking.
Day 7: Journey to Jabalpur + Final Departure
Start your day with a mouth-watering breakfast, and then check out of the resort. Our driver will take you back to Jabalpur for your onward journey. It will take you approximately 6 hours to cover the 260 km distance between the two locations.
Depending on your schedule, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station. As you reflect on the memories of tigers, forests, and Central India’s unique landscapes, your 7-day Tiger Trail of Madhya Pradesh tour will come to a memorable conclusion.
