Join our driver on the first attraction of the tour, the Lingaraja Temple trip, as he picks you up from your hotel or airport in Bhubaneswar at around 8-8:30 AM. The temple is located at a distance of about 10 km from the city center and 5 km from the city center. Entry into the Lingaraja Temple is only limited to the Hindus. The largest temple of Odisha, it is a highly revered shrine as the Shiva linga present there is believed to have been self-manifested, i.e. appeared naturally. Spend time exploring the sacred site, and then head to the next location.

    Rajarani Temple

After about a 10-minute drive, you will reach the Rajarani Temple, popularly referred to as the Love Temple. The name is owed to the local legend that it is the place where the king and queen of Bhubaneswar met for the first time and fell in love. This 11th-century edifice showcases exquisite craftsmanship through its intricately carved walls and sculptures.

    Parasurameswara Temple

Just 1 km from the Rajarani Temple is one of the oldest places to visit in Bhubaneswar, Shree Parasurameswara Temple. This temple from 650 AD is replete with specimens of ancient Kalinga-style architecture. Hence, a lot of travelers love to visit this temple and explore its large premises.

    Mukteswara Temple

Walk a short 140-meter distance from the Parasurameswara Temple, and you will reach the stunning Mukteswara Temple. The 10th-century temple is a beautiful example of the Kalinga style of architecture. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Mukteswara Temple is a prominent pilgrimage site as devotees believe visiting the shrine fulfills all their desires.

    Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves

After exploring the popular temples of Bhubaneswar, you will be taken for the much-awaited Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves sightseeing trip. Located at a distance of nearly 10 kilometers from Mukteswara Temple, the Twin Caves are fine examples of Jain cave art. It is believed that Jain monks stayed in the caves to seek solitude and enlightenment. The ornately carved caves like Hathi Gumpha, Rani Gumpha, Navamuni Gumpha, and more are some of the most popular tourist attractions that you must explore.

    Chausath Yogini

For another one of the popular things to do in Bhubaneswar, we will take you to Hirapur’s Chausath Yogini Temple, located at a 40-minute drive from the Twin Caves. Also known as the Mahamaya Temple, it is one of the only 4 surviving Chausath Yogini temples in the world.
