Leh-Ladakh Tour with 5 Days of Pangong Lake Trip, Khardung La Pass Visit & More

Day 1: Arrival at Leh

As you arrive at the Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, our driver will be waiting to pick you up and take you to your hotel. After checking into the hotel, we recommend a full day’s rest before heading out to explore popular things to do in Leh-Ladakh. This is because Leh is at a high altitude of 3500 meters with low air pressure. Hence, it is important to acclimatise so that you do not face any health issues and are fit for your trip. Dinner will be available at the hotel. After a hearty meal, move to your room and get a good night’s sleep. 

Day 2: Local Sightseeing at Leh

Wake up to a delicious breakfast with a breathtaking view of the scenic paradise, Leh. Then, get ready to explore the must-visit places in Leh-Ladakh, beginning with the popular monasteries. First, we will visit the Shey Monastery, which is located at a 15-minute drive from Leh. It features a 10-meter-high Buddha Statue, which is a major attraction. Next, we will take you to Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. The former is a 12-storey-high structure whose architecture is rather fascinating, while the latter is known for a stunning selection of Buddhist antiques. 

After the monastery tour, we will visit the Shanti Stupa—a peaceful and beautiful place that offers mesmerising views of Leh city. Finally, we will take you to the Leh Palace, which is the former royal palace that overlooks the Ladakh Mountain Range and offers mindblowing views of Stok Kangri. As the day comes to an end, we will drive you back to your hotel in Leh. Have a palatable dinner and then retire for the night.

Day 3: Pangong Lake Tour from Leh

As you wake up on day 3, and have your complimentary breakfast, get ready for an enthralling Pangong Lake trip. The drive from Leh to Pangong Lake takes about 5 hours and is full of breathtaking views. As you reach your destination, you will be swayed by the beauty of the narrow ramp-like area that runs into the lake. It is a popular photography spot.

Perched at a height of 14,270 feet, it is the highest saltwater lake in the world! The saltiness of the lake makes it devoid of any aquatic life, and you will only see very little micro-vegetation. However, you will find a lot of ducks and gulls around the lake.

Spend time exploring the surroundings and absorbing the charm of the lake’s changing colours before joining our driver on your trip back to Leh. As you arrive at your hotel, eat a delicious dinner, and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: Nubra Valley Visit via Khardung La Pass

Rise and shine and get ready for an exciting road trip on day 4 of the tour. After relishing a lip-smacking meal for breakfast, join our driver on a 5-hour journey to the Nubra Valley. You will be reaching your destination via the Khardung La Pass. The Khardung La Pass visit is a delight for adventure seekers as it is one of the world’s highest motorable passes!

The drive is filled with thrilling, rugged terrains and panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. As you reach Nubra Valley, you will fall in love with its idyllic charm. The isolated site offers the most breathtaking views of the Ladakh Valley and the Karakoram Range. Then, you will return to your hotel with our driver.

In the evening, we will take you to a few other places in Leh. First, you will visit the Basgo Village, which is about 45 minutes from Leh. Once a popular cultural centre, the village is now known for the Basgo Monastery and historical ruins. Next, we will take you to Alchi. One of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, it features an eye-pleasing Indo-Himalayan style of architecture. Finally, we will head to Likir Monastery. Perched atop a little hill, the picturesque monastery is known for its 25-foot-tall Buddha statue that is covered in gold!

Later, return to the hotel with our driver for a tasty dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 5: Departure from Leh

On the last day of your Leh-Ladakh tour package, have a scrumptious meal for breakfast and then check out of the hotel. Our driver will drop you off at the airport, where you will continue your onward journey with beautiful memories of the amazing Leh-Ladakh tour.
