Day 1 (01-05-2025)

Start your day as our driver picks you up from your Bangalore hotel at 6:30 AM for an exciting one-day trip to Shivanasamudra & Talakad. After a 3-hour journey, arrive at Shivanasamudra, an island town on the Kaveri River, consisting of twin waterfalls - Gaganachukki & Bharachukki Falls, surrounded by lush greenery. Experience the mesmerizing sound of water dripping from a height of 98 meters and opt for a boat ride for a closer view (own expense, subject to water level). Next, you will head to Somnathpur, 50 km from Shivanasamudra, known for Chennakesava temple, a masterpiece of ancient Hoysala architecture built in 1268. You can also shop for incense sticks, sandalwood oil, Mysore-style paintings, and handicrafts.

Post that enjoy a delicious South-Indian meal at a local restaurant. Our driver will then take you to Talakadu, located 24 km away, known for its temples, including Maruleshwara, Pathaleshwara, Vaideeshwara, Arkeshwara, and Mallikarjuneshwara. Know about the "Curse of Talakad" that buried many temples in the sand, believed to be invoked by Queen Alamelamma.
